We don't accept credit cards in the shop, but you can use your credit card to pay through Pay Pal...  just log into your account and use the  "send money"  tab to make your deposit,  or payment.  Please add a note in the message area, that states what it's for, with serial or other description, if possible.

If you wish to schedule a rebuild, or purchase one of our saxes (and it still needs to be rebuilt),  send us  a 50% deposit to hold your place in my work schedule.  I work from a published schedule (see left margin) so that your sax will only be out of your possession a couple weeks, while i do the actual work, it does not have to just sit on the shop floor, until it's turn comes up... you send it to arrive on schedule and we return it on schedule.

 Click the links above  to see what's in stock.   If  a horns says "just rebuilt", then it's ready to go, saxes that say "scheduled for a rebuild" are waiting for the work to be done, but it will be included in the posted price.  If a sax says "ON TRIAL" someone is taking advantage of our "Three Day Trial" policy (See Info and Orders page).

Keilwerth made The New King and Tone King  as their main brand names, from 1932 to 1969 or so, but there were always stencils, like Edgeware and later Couf.  Here are few of the other names you may find on Keilwerth made horns.  The new king and tone king saxes were identical except for a high F# key on the tone king model, but keilwerth marketed the Tone King as the "deluxe" Pro model and the New King as the "standard" Pro model

This is one of my silver restorations and might be the best sounding bari to ever pass through here, of course, with personal taste being a factor.

The engravings on this one were and are really beautiful.  The sax came to me with about 10% original lacquer remaining, so I chemically stripped the rest and sent it to Elkhart Indiana, to be silverplated at Andersons Silver Plating… and of course first the original engravings were re-engraved by Artistic Engravings, first, so the end result would be exactly the same as if the finish were OEM.  Sherry at Artistic engravings is one of the very best and at one time, worked, engraving for Selmer. When i got her back from Elkhart, i installed Prestini pads and SBA style seamless metal domes, as well as all new stainless steel springs.

  The sound is very rich and powerful, intonation is very good.  i'll post more after the new rebuild has had a little time to break in...

She's playing great now and a customer came up from Seattle and played her.  It was very interesting because they brought their nickel Conn "Chu Era" Baritone to make comparisons.

It was truly apples and oranges... the Conn's sound was big, but dark, almost foggy to my ear, the Selmer was tight and a little brighter or perhaps clearer... almost like a Tenor with extra low notes.  it was very cool to hear two horns of such renown, played back to back.

One thing is for sure, this SBA is playing great and the tone is to die for!  Just what i'd be looking for if i played bari more often.

It comes with an older, black tolex covered, wood formed case, that is in fair condition, fine for shipping and local gigs, but not for airline flights.  It does not include a mouthpiece, or any accessories. 

  The  price is 8499.00, with the Premium Rebuild (includes liberal application of Teflon, Ultrasuede, Techcork and Synthcork), Tan Prestini's and Pisoni seamless metal domed resonators.   

     My research shows that these are so scarce that people are paying upwards of 9999.00 for them...    I didn't want to do any buffing whatsoever on this one, the remaining lacquer was chem stripped, so there are some areas on the body tube where you can see some slight pitting in the brass (that i did not want to buff out and remove metal), but it's plated over and will no longer be a problem.  There were dents and dings i removed that show as light "character" marks.  The satin finish helps to cover that pretty well, that said,  overall the appearance is very striking, just as the pictures clearly show.   Anderson's Silver Plating did a beautiful job of balancing the bright and satin parts throughout.
