Hazlett02.jpg (229642 bytes)--Steel Ebonite Chester Hazlett tenor Item: WWS00.00.531.2-0-5

MartinT-RAC-01.jpg (226109 bytes)MartinT-RAC-02.jpg (224184 bytes) (#1) Martin Tenor ("RAC"): Here is an early 60s Martin plastic mouthpiece (originally paired with "The Martin ____" horns) . They are good players with a mild-vintage tone--very good Presence in sound. Bob Carpenter did reface to a 0.095" and facing length of 21mm. (table marked with Bob's "RAC 95-21" initials. Plastic mouthpiece with a Medium-Small chamber with flat sidewalls (slightly larger than Brilhart Ebolins). Comes with brass ligature. Since Bob gave this one back praising its playability, it will sell for: $179.00 Item:WWS00.00.521.2-B40

(#2) Martin Tenor: Here is an early 60s Martin plastic mouthpiece (originally paired with "The Martin ____" horns) . They are good players with a mild-vintage tone--a bit more nasal tone compared to #1 above due to the original tip is a 0.075". Plastic mouthpiece with a Medium-Small chamber with flat sidewalls (slightly larger than Brilhart Ebolins). mild tooth imprints. Comes with nickel ligature. $114.00 Item:WSS00.00.529.8-0

DukoffD6ss-01.jpg (424659 bytes) DukoffD6ss-02.jpg (141290 bytes) Dukoff D6 Tenor: here is a rare Stainless Steel (SS) example. Metal, rock & roll Loud mouthpieces. SS Dukoffs are super strong!...no more little bumps signaling the death of your mouthpiece (like all the Silverite "miami" ones). It plays really nice overall. I would rate the ease of Altissimo as its LowPoint at only a 7 of 10.  Tips and rails look great, original tip measuring 0.098", baffle is that large step/slope baffle like all the "power chamber" models. comes with original box and ligature. 149.00 Item: WWS00.00.531.2-0-3

Just in! Ebolin4-5digit_1.jpg (153968 bytes)Ebolin4-5digit_2.jpg (165178 bytes) Vintage Brilhart Ebolin 4 Tenor: This is an Ebolin with a nice, early 5-digit ser#83,039. Original facing tip at 0.084". This one plays very strong with the characteristic Brilhart sound--medium chamber with flat side walls. Looking for a Tonalin sound, without the Tonalin price?! ...This is a great option! a bit more presence in the treble tones but darn close to my Tonalin 5 (0.085") from my sound files. 189.00 Item: SP0.00.1151.2-0

***more Brilhart Ebolins at bottom of the page.***

Just In! TruLayT67-1062_1.jpg (314904 bytes)TruLayT67-1062_2.jpg (255409 bytes) Vintage Buescher Tru-Lay (Pickle) Tenor: Vintage hard rubber from 1920/30sThe script is visible but a little faded, made of the good hard rubber.  It has the original tip size at about 0.070" . The table reads: "Tru-Lay   67/1062   LO".  I wanted to leave this one for someone looking for that truly vintage tone. It has a large chamber and that traditional 1920s stuffy tone. It plays nice with a #3 reed. the closed tip limits its volume abilities as normal.  Comes with original metal ligature and cap! 189.00

Item: WWS00.00.1181.2-0-0

Just In! LevelAir6starT_1.jpg (356589 bytes)LevelAir6starT_2.jpg (373902 bytes) Vintage Brilhart Level-Air 6* Tenor: This 1974 mpc is a nice free blowing mpc with a tip measuring 0.090".  There is a small tooth imprint that I covered with a clear bite tab--typical on these. It blows a big sound with heavy mid tones for a metal, cliff-style baffle. later vintage series with up and down machining on the table. This is the nice size 6* suitable for the younger/returning players looking to get a bigger sound but maintain an easy control. It blows really nice and free. comes with Rover ligature and plastic cap! 219.00

Item: WWS43.88.1211.2-0-0

OttoLink9starTenor.jpg (574898 bytes) Otto Link 9* Tenor: this is a nice rare piece that is owned by Bob. Please contact if interested. I think he's having fun teasing us with this out "for sale". :) $1200.00 ON HOLD/Trial

Item:BC consignment

BrilPersL4_001.jpg (210996 bytes)BrilPersL4_002.jpg (195153 bytes) Brilhart Personaline: Markings of "L4", ser# 7455. Hard Rubber mouthpiece with the Circle wood-grain tooth pad. Bob Carpenter did the minor perfection of the reface to a 0.090" and facing length of 22mm. He also filled the tooth groove. As usual, Bob's work looks excellent!  This is a large chamber mouthpiece with a great sound. $429.00  ON Trial--Croasdale

KingT100-23_001.jpg (193845 bytes)KingT100-23_002.jpg (163576 bytes) King "T" Tenor: Markings of "2". Bob Carpenter did reface to a 0.100" and facing length of 23mm. He also slightly filled the tooth groove. Plastic mouthpiece with a Medium-Small chamber with flat sidewalls. Comes with original brass three-band ligature! $149.00

Item:WWS00.00.9151.1-B45

ConnEagleT-wws.jpg (165350 bytes) Conn Eagle Tenor: Vintage hard rubber from 1920s.  Script/Eagle in decent shape.  It has a large Chamber and I just had Bob Carpenter open it up to 0.086". It plays really easy.  I would say it sounds typical of a stuffy, vintage tone that fits well into Concert band too.  Comes with original silver-plate ligature and cap. $149.00

Item:WWS00.00.821.1-B35

OttoLink4starColemanHawkinsSpecial001.jpg (534405 bytes)OttoLink4starColemanHawkinsSpecial002.jpg (201776 bytes)OttoLink4starColemanHawkinsSpecial003.jpg (276392 bytes) Otto Link Four**** Master Model "Coleman Hawkins Special" Tenor: Here's another rare mouthpiece. Great old, tubby tone from the VERY large chamber--Vintage nasal sound, with mid-frequency power only, ...so a warm-Nasal tone.  I feel like it played best on a #3 reed.  We got it from the original owner who had altered the tip. He played all over the world and the mouthpiece shows heavy use and most of the gold (thru some silver) is down to brass in some places.  So since it was no longer original, we send it off to Bob Carpenter to improve the facing and it is open to a 0.090".  $SOLD

mpc003ReneT.jpg (200312 bytes)mpc004ReneT.jpg (145224 bytes) Rene Dumont 3 Tenor: hard rubber mouthpiece with a small chamber and small tip. Original tip measures 0.063". It is a good player, easy blower ...if you like the closed tip style. It sounds like true vintage with that stubby, nasally tone.  no ligature. $149.00

Item: WSS

mpc001WolfTanne9T.jpg (223467 bytes)mpc002WolfTanne9T.jpg (159989 bytes) Wolfe Tayne 9 Tenor: Metal, rock & roll Loud mouthpieces, gold plated, These are brighter and focused sounding--not as spread as a Dukoff.  Tips and rails look great, tip measuring 0.100", baffle is a mild rollover slope style. bite plate looks good too. (tooth pad recommended), no ligature. $275.00 Item: WSS

BTTt1.jpg (203652 bytes)BTTt2.jpg (128142 bytes) Vintage "The Buescher" (Rascher) Tenor: Vintage hard rubber from 1920s.  The Script is there with minor fading.  It arrived with an original tip size at about 0.050" so we had Bob Carpenter open it up to a 0.093".  It has a large Chamber and that traditional 1920s stuffy tone but is a little clearer now that it got refaced.  comes with non-original, but working ligature. Considering that these Tenor ones are harder to find and factoring in Bob's work, we'll price it at $189.00

Bob got a lot of mouthpiece refacers started, such as Theo Wanne, who in turn, got others started later...

but no one does nicer work than Bob.  Check out "Bob's Page" to know more: READ ON...
